  I recommend this funeral home to all my friends. The staff handled my brothers service completely and satisfactory without any issues at all. One call , and everything was very professional . in your time of need , call Guardian.

  My complaint is in regards to how this funeral home handled my father. My father passed away on February 5, 2017. I came from San Antonio to Corpus Christi Tx. I was schedule to see my father's body on Tuesday the 7th. I went in and the owner said to hold a minute while he gets my father ready. He took me to the very back of the building to a outside garage/ storage unit. They had my father on a stretcher with a blanket on him. This building had caskets, trash, a cremation device, and coolers where they keep the body. There was no AC. I thought I would be put in one of the many rooms with him in ac where i could have a moment alone with my father. Being his only child, I needed this time. I was horrified of the conditions where I view him. My father was thawing (it looked as if he was sweating). It was very unprofessional and uncaring to my father. No one who has just lost someone needs to see their loved one like this. I took photos because i was appalled. Then at the funeral they owner pulls me aside and wants me to call the hr dept of the sheriff dept where my father worked. (My father was the Captain over homicide at the Sheriff Dept) It seemed that all this man wanted was the money but it was not the time nor the place to discuss this at the funeral. Since the funeral I have been trying to call the owner daily to get a copy of my fathers death certificate. The man tells me they messed up on it and he will call me back tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes, he doesn't call back. I had to order it myself. I can deal with that, however I can not get the images of my father on that 1st day in a so called garage storage unit.
